Introduction

The back swing spiral welded pipe mill is to open and level the steel coil through the mill equipment, and then feed it into the forming machine at some angles. By using the principle of three-roller winding machine and some angles, a continuous round pipe is formed, and the continuous spiral weld is welded by submerged arc welding machine. Uncoiling, uncoiling & levelling and shearing butt welding of steel coils are all carried out on reciprocating fly welding vehicles. When butt welding of steel coils is carried out, the flying welding machine keeps the same speed as the main machine, which continuously produces without stopping. When butt welding is completed, the flying welding machine quickly retreats to the initial position and waits for the next steel coil. The continuous production mode has the advantages of high production efficiency, good product quality and less repair welded pipes.


According to the different applications of products, the back swing spiral welded pipe mill is divided into API standard model and national standard model. API standard model is used to produce oil and natural gas (long-distance) transmission pipes, which have very high requirements on steel pipe materials and quality, and also have very high requirements on mill equipment and inspection equipment. The national standard models are used for short-distance natural gas transportation, water pipes, urban pipe network construction, structural pipes and pillar-beating pipes. The material and quality requirements of steel are also high, which is second only to API standard.
